Comparison
Free vs Paid Gold Signals
Free XAUUSD channels are not worthless and paid ones are not automatically better. The difference is in incentives — and knowing which incentive you are trading alongside.
The honest version of this comparison is uncomfortable for a paid service to publish, so most don't. Free gold signals can be genuinely useful. Paid gold signals can be worthless. What separates them is not the price tag but whether the provider's incentive is aligned with your account surviving.
| Free channels | Paid access | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Nothing upfront | Fixed fee for a defined period |
| Typical monetisation | Broker referral commissions or later upsells | The access fee itself |
| Signal detail | Often entry only, stop vague or missing | Entry, stop, targets and context expected |
| Trade management | Rarely updated after posting | Partial closes and stop moves communicated |
| Record keeping | Usually none, or wins only | Should be a full R-based log including losses |
| Incentive | Volume — more trades means more broker revenue | Retention — results must justify renewal |
| Best use | Auditing a provider and learning structure | Executing a defined method with support |
The hidden cost of free gold signals
When a channel earns a rebate on every lot its members trade, more signals means more revenue regardless of whether those signals win. That incentive quietly pushes toward frequent entries, wide stops and encouragement to trade larger sizes. None of that is visible in the messages — it is visible in the trade count.
The second cost is missing management. Gold moves fast; a setup that needed a partial close at 1R can round-trip to the stop within minutes. Free channels typically post the entry and go quiet.
When paid access is genuinely worth it
- You want one instrument covered properly rather than thirty covered superficially.
- You need the reasoning, not just the level, so you can eventually trade it yourself.
- You want a record you can measure your own execution against in R.
- You want management updates while the trade is live.
Audit either one the same way
Paper-trade the channel for two weeks. Log entry, stop, target and the timestamp you saw it. Score everything in R using the position size calculator. If the paper record does not resemble the marketing, you have your answer — and it costs nothing to find out.
Our free channel exists for exactly that: audit GOLD Scalper publicly before paying anything. The full criteria checklist is on the signal provider buyer's guide, and every closed trade is on the performance log.
