XAUUSD Scalping Signals
Short-duration gold setups built around session structure, tight invalidation and a target measured in R — not vague 'buy now' calls.
Gold is one of the few instruments where scalping genuinely suits the character of the market. XAUUSD expands hard around session opens and news, then reverts. That behaviour rewards traders who can define a level, risk a small fixed amount against it, and take a defined multiple when price runs.
What every scalping signal we post contains
- Direction and entry zone, not a single unrealistic tick.
- A structural stop loss placed beyond the level that invalidates the idea.
- At least one target expressed in R, plus a partial-close plan.
- The context — why this level, in this session, matters.
| Session | Window | How we treat it |
|---|---|---|
| Asian session | 01:00 – 08:00 SAST | Thin liquidity, range-bound. Usually skipped. |
| London open | 09:00 – 12:00 SAST | First real expansion. Most A-grade setups appear here. |
| London / NY overlap | 15:00 – 18:00 SAST | Peak volume. Fast moves, tightest structure. |
| Late New York | 18:00 – 22:00 SAST | Momentum fades. Manage, don't initiate. |
Why tight stops fail for most gold scalpers
The usual mistake is choosing the stop by comfort rather than by structure: a 100-point stop because that "feels" small, placed inside the noise band of a market that regularly moves 300 points in an hour. The stop belongs beyond the swing that would prove the idea wrong; the position size is what you adjust to keep the money risk fixed. Work it out with the position size calculator.
Execution matters more than the signal
Two traders taking the same scalp can end the month in opposite places. Latency, chasing entries after the zone has gone, and skipping the partial close are what separate them. Every setup we publish is timestamped so you can measure your own fills against them on the performance log.
